Whitcoulls Rewards Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your participation in the Whitcoulls loyalty program (Loyalty Program). These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with:

(Collectively, the Terms).

In these Terms and Conditions, “Whitcoulls“, “us”, “we” or “our” means Whitcoulls 2011 Limited of Level 5, 131 Queen Street, Auckland.

It is important that you understand these Terms and Conditions which relate to your participation in the Whitcoulls Rewards Loyalty Program. If you register an account for, or participate in, the Loyalty Program, we will take that to mean that you agree to the Terms and Conditions and that they are binding on you. If you don't agree, please terminate your account immediately and refrain from participating in the Loyalty Program. We may change the Terms and Conditions without notice from time to time.

Becoming a member of the Loyalty Program

  1. To participate in the Loyalty Program, you will need to sign up online or in store and answer some basic questions. You need to have a loyalty card assigned to your member account. You can pick one up from your local Whitcoulls store.
  2. To receive the full range of member benefits, sign up to the Whitcoulls Rewards email. You can sign up instore at any time or create a member profile online.
  3. We will be relying on you to provide accurate, current and complete information, and to keep it up to date. We respect your personal information and we will only use it according to applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.
  4. Each application to join the Loyalty Program is subject to acceptance by Whitcoulls in its absolute discretion.
  5. Whitcoulls employees or employees of their partner organisations are eligible to participate in the Loyalty Program however rewards points cannot be earned in any instance where staff discount has been redeemed.
  6. Ownership of your loyalty card remains with Whitcoulls.

Points

  1. For each $1 you spend at a Whitcoulls store in New Zealand or via the online store of Whitcoulls, you get 1 point (Loyalty Point). You will earn points on purchases of all products excluding, phone cards, lotto, iTunes cards, ePay, prepaid envelopes, stamps and gift card redemptions.
  2. When you reach 100 Loyalty Points, you will be given a $5 voucher (Voucher) printed out to spend on your next transaction. You will need to see in store for point’s balances. You can redeem your voucher at your next transaction at a Whitcoulls store (other than an online store), provided that you do so within 90 days of earning 100 Loyalty Points. You must redeem your voucher in one transaction.
  3. Any points not redeemed will expire from your account 12 months from the date they were earnt.
  4. The voucher cannot be used for the purchase of, phone cards, lotto, iTunes cards, ePay, prepaid envelopes, stamps, gift cards and is not redeemable for cash. The voucher cannot be used when you shop online at Whitcoulls.co.nz.
  5. You do not earn points on purchases made, or any part of purchases made, with your voucher.

Your Loyalty Program Account

  1. Should you wish to leave the Whitcoulls Rewards Loyalty Program at any time, visit your local Whitcoulls, return your rewards card and ask them to deactivate your account. You are free to leave the Whitcoulls Rewards Programme at any time.
  2. We reserve the right to do any or all of the following in relation to your Account:
    1. suspend your Account;
    2. terminate your Account at any time, for any reason; or
    3. permanently or temporarily block your access to all or part of your Account.
    In particular, we reserve the right to terminate your Account without notice if you provide inaccurate information or if you breach the Terms.
  3. If your Account is terminated or cancelled for any reason, any Loyalty Points you have earned will be deleted, and you will not be able to redeem those Loyalty Points.
  4. While we use all reasonable endeavours to make sure that your Account is available 24 hours a day, we do not make any representations or warranties that your access will be uninterrupted or error free. Access may be suspended temporarily without notice in the event of a system failure, maintenance or any reason beyond our control.
  5. We will use all reasonable endeavours to make sure that any information or data that we provide to you through your Account is complete, accurate and up to date. However, without limiting anything else in the Terms, except as provided by law, we do not make any representations or warranties that the information or data that we provide to you will be complete, accurate or up to date. It is your responsibility to check your Account records, and any information and data, carefully and to notify us immediately if you believe there is any error or omission, or if the records, information or data are not up to date.

Miscellaneous

  1. Special privileges and exclusive offers are subject to these terms and conditions and any additional terms and conditions notified with the special privileges and exclusive offers.
  2. If you lose your loyalty card or it is damaged, any Whitcoulls store will replace the card and you will retain your Loyalty Points balance.
  3. You acknowledge that your participation in the Loyalty Program is at your own risk. Except as provided by law, the Loyalty Program is provided 'as is' and without any warranty or representation, express or implied. We do not warrant that the content included on or information or data provided through the Loyalty Program is accurate, suitable for your purposes or without errors, omissions or viruses.
  4. The laws of New Zealand apply to these Terms and Conditions. You agree that the New Zealand courts will have jurisdiction over any dispute concerning these Terms and Conditions. If any part of the Terms and Conditions is invalid or unenforceable, it will be struck out and the remaining terms will remain in force. If we do not act in relation to a breach by you of the Terms and Conditions, this does not waive our right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches.
